Banksy is a genius, and since the authorities are going around parts of Britain restoring and preserving his public art, he should obviously cherished as a national treasure of a sort in his own right. He is a very talented artist. His art adds to the value of public spaces and gives art a better talking point. His art connects people to art better than gallery art would normally do, and removes that stuffy boundary between formal art and street or Graffiti art. I say well done to a great talented Artist!
