Photographer turned Painter
Feedback from Laurie R. Martin
I am a professional landscape photographer and I specialize in shooting light with water. This requires getting up at 3a.m to go shoot and being out in the right setting when sun is going down.
After understanding so much about light from photography I started painting. I love realism and the quality of light and shadows it has on human skin. I started painting and drawing. I am wanting to take my art to another level and offer not only my landscape images but my paintings.
I already have a shoe in with a large handful of galleries that offer my work. Adding my paintings will be amazing. I would not dare show my art work yet until I am better so i am hoping this course will help my skills, drawing and painting.
I like Joseph-Siffred Duplessis, his ability to comunicate softness of skin tones and color of skin, amazing.
My main challenge in art is the thickness and placement of paint and understanding skin colors. I also would like to learn how to layer my skin tones to create a real skin tone quality/effect.
How to paint more realism. I bought Anatomy Class videos. To draw better and have a better understanding of painting mediums, oils, thickeners, thinners, when to use them. Paint better Realism as part of my art offerings.
Sincerely,
Laurie R. Martin
