35 years and still dreaming to become a painter
Feedback from Luiz Dacosta
My name is Luiz Dacosta and I’m 54 years old. I’m married and have two daughters.
I’m Brazilian and I live in Rio de Janeiro. When I was young, I dreamed to be a painter. I just love fine arts but I didn’t have the chance to study in Art College.
I had to start working very early and I went to the advertising and publishing path. I’ve worked as art director, illustrator and graphic designer during all this years but the fine art never left my mind.
In Brazil is to dificult to enter in a college art school and the courses are not good enough. It’s difficult to find a really good art course or school that use the old masters method and their techniques as a reference. I’ve painted during my life as amateur but I need a course that could give me the confidence to start a painter career.
I love portraiture and I’ve followed some contemporary painters but I would like to learn the foundation of painting. So, that’s my story. I would like to win the course, of course but, any way, knowing that you are here to help me to keep this dream alive makes me happy.
All the best for you!
Luiz
