Feedback from Art Alferez

Hi! I am Art Alferez. I am a Filipino painter, an artist, if I may, but I’m not an art student. I couldn’t afford being one. I started my oil painting hobby last year, 2015, and I must say it’s been a tough round, especially that I’ve been practicing Renaissance art.

I love art. I love realism ever since I was a kid.

I’m 24 now, and I am actually in the middle of preparing myself for the future, whether: a better artist (well, I’m kinda depressed about my being idle in our town lately because of the people’s modernity and no good competence to my category, I feel like an idiot trying to prove something in this very wrong place.
I’m not saying the artists in our town are not good because of their tastes, it’s just that the more I see modern art as growing, the more realism is being forgotten, too.); that’s exactly why I have my mind also open for being just an employee of someone and forget every single detail I have about my dreams. Of course, I don’t intend to but my situation says it all. Darn this. I am not that good yet but I know someday, if my path to art won’t change, I know and I promise I’ll be one of the most known self-taught artists.
