My life is my artwork
Feedback from Denise Brown
I am a watercolor/acrylic painter, equine artist and children’s book author and illustrator.
My book, “Wind, Wild Horse Rescue,” is about wild horses. The illustrations are 100 of my horse drawings and paintings, written through the eyes of a wild colt that gets captured in a round up. I am a wild horse advocate and wrote this book to make people aware of America’s wild mustangs’ plight for survival today. My blog posts wild horse news at www.windwildhorse.com.
My children’s books and coloring books include my landscape paintings, architectural renderings, animals and people illustrations to tell the stories.
I want to improve my drawing skills of people and children. I know the Web Art Academy courses will give me the tools I need to grow as an artist. When you are painting and creating art, you don’t always have the time to stop and refresh your skills. This will give me the opportunity to keep learning at a higher level vs trial and error on my own.
I want to be able to incorporate more people into my artwork to get the message out in my mission to help wild horses and other animals that need people to protect them for future generations to see in the wild. If I can show how people relate to animals and the environment, I believe I can do stronger paintings.
I want to use my artwork for great causes that I believe in. I do a lot of charity work and non-profit work and have donated art to many organizations throughout my life. It is my way of giving back in hopes that I can make a difference in a troubled world where the habitat and existence of many species of animals, birds, and insects are in danger of becoming extinct and wiped out in my lifetime by mankind’s growing population needs. I believe that through education to children and families with stories that I write and illustrate is a great way to continue this effort and help our planet.
My life is my artwork. I want to make the most of my skills to help change the way the world sees its relationships to animals for a sustainable effort by every person to be involved.
