I want to be confident!

I’m 38 and I started drawing 3 years ago as a stress relieving technique and I have become hooked ever since! Unfortunately I don’t have the resources to purse a formal education and I depend on the internet and books to help guide me. But because of this and the lack of critique I am unsure if I am on the correct path. I feel that by pursuing study at the Web Art Academy I will become more confident in painting.

I think the “contemporary old master” is Pino Daeni. His paintings have that timeless feeling but painted in this modern time.

My favorite artist is William-Adolphe Bouguereau. I love his realistic style combined with mythical elements and his color palette, the way he uses the light to make the figures pop on the canvas.

My main challenge in art is composition – what makes an interesting subject and what doesn’t.
I also want to know about Methodology, Color Palette and color combinations.

From all the videos and articles that I’ve read thus far you’ve answered questions that I didn’t even think of asking.
