After painting in oil for over 20 years as a self-taught artist, I have enrolled and completed an art distance learning program. I wanted to progress in my art using the glazing method and found respective videos from the Web Art Academy and decided to enroll.
Acquiring the knowledge about the glazing technique opened up new opportunities in my art career.
I presented two of my latest paintings to a wider audience and received thereof an invitation for a solo exhibition in June 2016.
Enhancing my knowledge, creativity and art career means the world to me. …

I am 66 and have returned to a passion I have had since I was in grade school – art.
My perfect day is browsing an art museum, especially the art in the 1500-1600 time frame. If those masters only had the quality materials and tools we have now – what great things they could accomplish.
My ultimate goal would be to attend an art school in Europe but time is running out. …

When I was small I won a drawing prize from the UNESCO at school but nobody told me that it was a skill I could develop. So I have never went to any art academy.
Now I am taking care of my old mother, 87, who is in a wheelchair and I spend the hours drawing by her side. In this situation you have two options, to get depressed or to try to do something useful, challenging that makes easier for you to deal with the sad situation.
Then I remembered that when I was an introvert child while drawing I used to forget about time, I disconnected from what worried me at that time and what I remembered best it was how good I use to feel. …

I am self-taught and am ready to take a really good teacher.
I started quite late in painting. There are so many so-called teachers nowadays who don’t really have the good solid training.
I seriously want to create masterful paintings and am putting in hours everyday practicing. But without a good teacher, much time is wasted.

Been a mental health, addictions, AIDS and family counselor for nearly 40 years. Parenting, meditation, 12step, yoga, cooking and gardening have been sources of joy and balance for most of my life. Until two years ago.
I am adopted into two generations of art through my mom and grandmother. Recently discovered that art is on both sides of my biological family as well.
