We think we have made progress with DrawingAcademy, which really helped us very much, we have found in the course a lot of good lessons and precious books, we try to get to another level and cross the road to the secrets of painting, but we do not think we can get there soon without Webartacademy … 🙂
I found Serge Marshennikov is a real Contemporary Old Master …
My favorite non-contemporary fine artist is Ivan Shishkin, he is the best painter of nature.

I have always had a yearning to draw. When I was in high school I so wanted to get the images out of my head and onto paper. But without proper instruction I just felt like drawing was something I just could’t do. Now that I am 26 I vowed to myself that I would learn to draw and make my passion into a reality. I have a strong history of artists in my family that I just learned about and I know that with practice and correct instruction I can become a real artists.

Ever since I was a child I’ve had a love for art and ended up majoring in painting in college. I have had the chance to travel to Italy and France, (London too) to see examples of the worlds’ finest paintings and sculptures in real life. My work career took me away from fine art and I am now trying to start again and make it a primary focus in my life.
My favorite artist is Carravaggio.

I started when I was 48 years old. My purpose was to be able to sketch from life everything that touch my heart. Not easy without good drawing skills and very difficult to find good teachers. Once I try to paint, oil painting and pastels but without good drawing skills it isn’t possible to make good paintings. I like so much the works of the old masters, as the academic style. I would like to improve nude drawings from life models. Now I’m a member of the Drawing Academy, there’s a lot of works and I’m happy to learn more and more ! …

I am a professional landscape photographer and I specialize in shooting light with water. This requires getting up at 3a.m to go shoot and being out in the right setting when sun is going down.
After understanding so much about light from photography I started painting. I love realism and the quality of light and shadows it has on human skin. I started painting and drawing. I am wanting to take my art to another level and offer not only my landscape images but my paintings. …

I am retired now but have loved art since I was in grade school but there wasn’t much training of art in the schools. I have tried to go to school for art but money and others things like a job keep me from going to art school. I did try it but just couldn’t work and do school at the same time. I am painting every day and try to learn all I can with each painting. I have had some success in winning awards and selling some paintings but would like to see more success.
My main challenges in art is painting flowers and making them look real. …

I am a writer. I write novels, short stories and inspirational narrative.
The strange thing is that I have always written “in images”; my writing is a series of descriptive passages and my metaphors are in the form of visualized beauty. When I first approached Art, a couple of years ago, it felt so familiar, like a secret garden I had already known but I never dared to enter. Now they are completing each other in such a wonderful way.
Writing and painting have become my prayer and my meditation…

Female, 54 years old. I am no longer able to work because I have chronic acute kidney failure, so I started painting because it helps keep my mind busy, off my pain and gives me goals to accomplish and everyone likes my paintings. That makes me feel good about myself and life and gives me hope.
My favorite artists are Rembrandt, Monet and Michelangelo. I love the way Michelangelo & Da Vinci do people. I’d like to learn more about that technique.
